Outline

1.      A biggest obstacle in my life was adapting school in U.S. but I over came by going back to school.
·         I was eleven years old when I moved to U.S.A.
·         I only knew the alphabets because my schooling in India was in English; basically our entire text book was translated in English.
·         Teachers in India didn’t communicate in English with there students.
2.      I did not speak or understand English.
·         All the students picked on me and I couldn’t even defend my self. I couldn’t communicate with them.
·         My grammar and pronunciation gave me the most trouble.
·         I couldn’t write well.
·         When we had to do presentation, I couldn’t pronounce certain word.
·         Everyday in the afternoon the ESL teacher would come to my class to teach me the alphabets, which I already knew.
3.      I am in school now, in College writing I, doing an outline and hoping to get an A like my other class.
·         Took the placement test in the summer of 2012 at Bunker Hill Community College.
·         Placement test result placed me in writing and reading 095. I passed both of those classes with an “A” hoping to do the same with College writing I.
